In 2011, the International Festival asked Pocket Productions to produce the first art gallery, showcasing the local international artists for the thousands who attend this unique annual event.

J Renee, originally from New Orleans, Walter Cumming, who recently completed a collaborative art journey to celebrate peace between France and Germany, and Gwylene Gallimard and Jean-Marie Mauclet, world-renowned French artists based in Charleston, SC, were the three artists chosen. 

These three professional artists each had a “French Connection,” the theme for this year’s festival.  All brilliant talents based in our local community, these artists have paved the way for more artists from across the world to celebrate their newly found Columbia, SC identity by participating in the annual International Festival.This event was sponsored by the International Festival.
