"1001" was a collaboration between the digital and the analog. Each performance introduced the audience to a digital and an analog art form. The event featured digital music by Deft Key in collaboration with a tabla player Ryan Shah, guitar player Bob Benjamin and a poi spinner Nathan Addy. A marionette show by Lyon Hill was presented alongside with a digital 3D animation by Wade Sellers, a puppet show by Happiness Bomb in collaboration with a video game with professor Fripples, as well as an interactive software installation in the gallery.

Dre Lopez and Sammy Lopez. Piensa Art Company is an art/design and multimedia studio. Over 29 years of combined experience that include several disciplines in fine art, illustration, and graphic design.

Lyon Hill.
Lyon has been a puppetmaker and puppeteer with the Columbia Marionette Theatre since 1997. His paintings and puppets have been shown in numerous galleries over the years and his puppet shows have been performed at regional and national puppet festivals.

Wade Sellers.
Wade has 10+ years as a commercial producer and director. Owner of Coal Powered Filmworks, he works with video & film production, post-production and editorial, and graphic and motion design.

Deft Key.
Ray Howard is a producer, sound engineer, multi-instrumentalist, dj, and remix artist. “Jack of all” at Entropy Studios, supplying recording, production and sound reinforcement.

Bob Benjamin.
Bob is a singer and a songwriter. Originally from California, he lived in Costa Rica where he produced and recorded several albums. He is now back in Columbia, you can listen to him live at the All-Locals Farmers Market at 701 Whaley on Saturdays, and many other venues.

Happiness Bomb.
This is an eclectic group of young artists, musicians, light and sound designers, puppeteers and programmers. They have performed at many local venues, including Art Bar, Tapp's Art Center, Hunter Gatherer and more.


Professor Fripples.
David Hamiter is a brilliant young programmer, who has created many interactive installations and art video games. Last summer Professor Fripples presented an interactive audio controlled installation at the Playing After Dark event.
